About Us

Gay Westmeath was founded in April 2009 and with the support of a small committee, the group has to date organised events in Mullingar and Athlone.

Following completion of a “needs” survey in winter 2011/12, the group has now been restructured and will continue to work on behalf of the county’s growing gay, lesbian and transgendered population. GWM will promote the needs of our community and will work to organise bi-monthly events catering for every age and interest, which will allow people to network closer to their homes.
